DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LICENSING CONTENT AND ACQUIRING IT IN OTHER WAYS
When you license or buy content, you get to use it as your own. The biggest benefit is that you get to collect 100% of the revenue you generate from your sales. You can also edit the name, description, or the individual videos.
If you just have instructors upload their classes, you can’t edit their videos, and they typically collect 50% of the revenue from sales. So you get to keep less of every sale, and if you make significant sales, you earn smaller profits because you have to share your revenue.
If you are considering selling content as an affiliate, usually you get to keep an even smaller profit that typically ranges from 15-25%. It’s not easy to make a sale, and once you do, it can be quite disappointing to only earn a tiny portion of it.
